Documenting Places
Photography, 8.5" x 11", in Emporia, 2025
A photographic project aimed at rediscovering the often-overlooked beauty within familiar environments. Shot in the forest on the Emporia State University campus, this series observes and records the subtle shifts of light, air, and time. By carefully adjusting shutter speed and exposure, I sought to capture fleeting moments of stillness and vitality hidden in nature.
Artificial Light and Extended Exposures
Photography(Light Painting), 8.5" x 11", in Emporia, 2025
This project explores how extended exposures and various artificial light sources can transform movement, color, and atmosphere in low-light photography, using techniques such as light drawing and light painting to create a cohesive series of images.
My Joiner
Photography, Photoshop, in Emporia, 2025
This project is a photographic collage inspired by Hockney’s “Joiner” series, using multiple images of downtown and Campus Woods taken from different viewpoints and times of day. By arranging the photographs with spacing instead of merging them, the work highlights overlapping perspectives and invites viewers to experience a shifting, multi-layered way of seeing.
